F-2 visa issue

Hello everybody,

Me and my wife have both come here on F-1 visa. Later I have applied for change of non immigrant status from F-1 to f-2 and recently I received an approval from USCIS. Now I am on F-2 dependent status. I have following questions...
1. How difficult it is to convert F-2 to H-4? if my wife gets H-1 visa...
2. If in need, can I travel to India on F-2 visa? Do I need to get the visa again from India to come back?
3. I have heard that to get H-4 visa one need to travel to his home country and get H-4 visa stamping? is it true? if yes than what are the chances of the approval for H-4 for me, provided my wife gets H-1 visa???

3. I have heard that to get H-4 visa one need to travel to his home country and get H-4 visa stamping? is it true? No, you can stay without stamping h4 in your pp. stamping is needed if you want to travel out side US

if yes than what are the chances of the approval for H-4 for me, provided my wife gets H-1 visa???
