I was on J-1 untill December 31, 2008. Applied for asylum in January 2009 and took interview for asylum in March 2009. Decision is still pending.
I am interested in Master's in Neuroscience. Am I eligible to get F-1 visa while asylum claim is pending and J-1 expired on December 31, 2008. Does anybody know what are my chances of getting F-1 visa stamped in Canada.
I am thinking to seek assistance from Avi Friedmann, a lawyer in Los Angeles who takes physicians to Canada to get various kinds of visas stamped. I heard his success rate is 100% but he charges very heavily though. Does anybody know about that lawyer.
I will appreciate anybody's response.
