F-1 Visa Renewal

Hi,
I am a Ph.D. student in USA. My F-1 visa has expired and i am going back to india for renewing my visa. As per new regulations i need to take an appointment at respective consulate (chennai). But i am unable to understand if I need to submit GRE and TOEFL scores again, because my scores have expired.
Also please suggest what other documents I need for renewal of F-1 visa.

Your GRE and other scores have nothing to do with your F-1 visa. All you need is to show current I-20, whether you still have ties to your country, and whether you still have the finances to continue your course of study.
