F-1 Visa and Advanced Parole

Hi, just found this site and wasn't able to find an answer to my question searching through the existing threads (although it is probably there).

I am a USC and recently got married to someone with an F-1 (student) visa. We've just submitted all our information I-130, I-485 etc, and my wife wants to travel home this summer to see her family. Her visa is valid until next summer, however do we need to submit for advanced parole since we haven't gotten anything from USCIS other than a statement that they've recieved our forms?

If we do need to submit, how long does it take (Boston) to get approval?

your wife will not be able to come back as F-1 holder, since she showed her immigrant intent by applying for GC. She needs an advance parole to be on the safe side.
