hi...
- I'm a F-1 student frm Texas
- got married to a US citizen
- already filed for status change, green card, work permit etc...(we filed in GA)
- Just got my work permit in hand
- I still go to school in TX
- I'm planning to move to GA
.......................................
how does it effect my f-1 status if I just move to GA in te middle of the semester y dropping out? is it even good idea? or shud I consider that for summer?

pls help

Once you apply for AOS, you do not have to maintain your student status. If you would like to continue your education, I'd think about transferring to a school in GA (not as F-1, but as AOS person) after the current semester. It looks like you already paid for this semester, so why not finish it?

other than that, once you drop out, the SEVIS record will automatically terminate you after a certain time period. When I applied for AOS (went to school in MO, but AOSing in GA as well), I contacted my school's INternational center and asked them to change my sevis record to "AOS pending/terminated" or something similar. They did.
