F-1 renewal (DV lotery 2007 application)

I am a F-1 student and I applied to DV 2007. I need to renew my F-1 visa, how should I answer question about: Has anyone ever filed an Immigrant Petition on your behalf on DS-156 form.

Would I still be able to obtain my F-1 visa under this situation.

I have the same problem. I was out of status on F1, applied for reinstatement and was denied. I left the US in the period INS gave me. Now I'll be going to an interview for a new visa. I also apllied for GC in Fall 05. On the same question I was gonna answer no but Im afraid that the officer at the consulate might know about my DV application. What should I do?
