F-1 for lower degree

Hello,

I have a Ph.D. degree obtained in the US and have been accepted in a MA program. I have financial support. My current F-1 expires this month. My questions are as follows:

a. Does having a Ph.D. degree constitute a basis for rejection of a F-1 visa requested for a MA degree program?

b. Does the rejection of a F-1 visa affect an eventual application for a H1-B visa?

Your opinions are welcomed,

Ricardo.

are you in the States already in F-1 status? if yes, do not leave the US, just go from one program to another, keeping your F-1 status uninterrupted. By the way, what about OPT?

b. Does the rejection of a F-1 visa affect an eventual application for a H1-B visa?
No.
