Extension or make another round trip

Hi

I would like some input on if

1. A parent visiting should extend their stay in the US or

2. Would it be better for them to go back to India and return in a few months for another 6 month stay.

Is there a minimum period they shoudl stay back in India before returning to the US?

If they do extend their stay in the US and file for an extension- approximately how long are they not allowed to return to the US?

A2: A genuine visitor should never spend more than 6 months in the US during any rolling 12 month window.

Your parent would be abusing their visitopr visa. Do you want them to lose it? If so, encourage frequent, extended trips.
