Extension of stay, I-94 and re-entry

My mom was here last year, she left after 8 months with approved extension of stay. My question is do they keep the approval on departure and do they leave I-94 on passport. I think they did not take extended I-94 by mistake and took previous I-94, is that going to be a problem when she comes back. Any info

How many times do I have to tell you that the info contained in the link is outdated? Advertising your own site is fine but at least don't spread outdated information.

GaramChai2go, it is OK as long as they took the I-94 actually issued by an inspector at the port of entry.
