extension of EAD

I am going to extend my EAD soon before it expires. My Green Card application is still pending. My case is through NIW with I-140 and I-485 concurrent filing in Feb. last year. A lawyer was hired for my petition. My question is, do I have to go through with my lawyer for this EAD extention or can I do it myself? 'cause it will cost me some extra money if I have to go with my lawyer. Does anyone have experience with this or suggestions? Thank you.

I do it through my lawyer because it does not cost me a dime except for the application fee, but I used to do it myself. The form is so simple it is hard to beleive it is generated by the US Government. It takes about 5 minutes to fill it out.
