Extending Vistor's Visa from 3monhs to 6 monts

Hi all,

I wanted to find out how to request for visitor's visa extension from 3 months to 6 months. recently for my in-laws they stamped i-94 for 3 months . we noticed it only after coming home.So we wanted to find out how to request extension from 3 months to 6 months. Please let me know.

I think there are forms available for extension applications. But keep in mind that, if u extend their visa this time they may not get visa again if its a single entry visa. They don't like doing extension at all.

This is only my opinion. (from what I heard from other people).. I am not an expert though.

I have been told that at the POE if we say its a business purpose, they stamp it for 3 months. If we say for pleasure, they stamps it for 6 months. I would like others to comment and confirm this.

As fas as i know, the only way to extend from 3 months to 6 months is to appy for extention, when you apply for extenstion you may get extenstion for another 3 months or even 6 months.

Please confirm that you have indeed got the extension, I have heard people assuming that once they appy, they are good, which is not true. You may get out of status and may not even know and would have extreme problems to get visas again or visit USA again.

I would apprciate if other users who have some information would comment too for confirmation.
