expired Passport

Did anyone had experience in going to Passport Stamping with an expired passport. The i485 Approval document has information suggesting in cases where a passport is not available a 3rd Photo is needed.
But the infopasss appointment seems to suggest that you need a valid unexpired passport.
 
get a new passport

Get a new passport , just call your country's Consulate.
Won't take more than a week or two I don't think.
