If ur current employer doesnt revoke ur 140 petition or stop GC process, it will continue. Once u pass ur 180 days, the employer cannot do anything on ur case, thats when u r safe to change employer and continue your GC. Also make sure when the 180 days is from RD or ND, most people say its RD, But INS considers our ND as their received date from th mail room to them for process. U can talk to ur attorney.

anybody knows if someone laid off before 180 days, get RFE and still got approved.

I am in the same boat, with a baby coming out, don\'t think I can stand for this kind of uncertainty any longer. GOD help us!

Friends I also had numerous concerns regarding this. There is a very nice FAQ on murthy.com regarding AC21.
Read it and you will find alll answers to it and talk to an attorney than beliving on rumours.

Agreed with Sandy02. Better do a comprehensive research and consultation with a good lawyer. Since no regulation from INS so far, everyone is just guessing. One thing for sure, it is highly beneficial to find a job in same or similar profession ASAP.
