Hello,

My previous employer didn't give experience letter. Can anyone tell me how to get an affidavit from a co-worker from that company? Like the format of the letter etc.

Thanks in advance!

Is that employer an US company ??
In US, its illegal to refuse providing Experience Letter.

please help

Can anyone help with the format of the affidavit (experience letter) from a co-worker? Any help would be geatly appreciated!

You can get the letter from ur co-worker on a plain sheet. It is always better to get the letter from a person who was ur supervisor.

The letter should mention your Name, Job Title, Hours of work (Full time/Part time) and duration of employment.

It should also metion his/her Position, and the dates of employment.

Then list down the job duties. And the letter should end saying

<Signature>
<Name>
Former <Job_title>
<Company Name>
<Contact Info> - His/Her current Contact details for USCIS to verify.

Work experience letter

Hi Guys,

I too have the same issue. I do not have experience letter from 3 of my previous employers. They refuse to send me expereince letters. But I do have a friend of mine still working with one of the companies. Is it okay if I get an experience letter from him? If yes, how about getting the experience letter in a white paper? Is it necessary to get it notarized?

Regarding getting experience letter from other two employers, I have two other friends who were working with me at each of the companies, but currently resigned. Is it okay if I get experience letter from these friends. If yes how? Is it okay if I get the experience letter in their current company letter-heads?

All three are US companies (still exist).

Your inputs are much appreciated

Thanks
SVAL

I have provided an affidavit for a friend who had his 485 approved. It wasn't on a letterhead of the old company (both of us had since moved on), but merely mentioned the name of my current employer, the previous employer with my employment dates, my relation to the employee in question, his employment dates, and job duties along with a brief description and a line swearing that the above information was true. The letter was notarized, though.

Thanks PhillyKP.

One more question... What if I have to get an expereince letter from a company, that I worked in the past in India or Some other country. Is it enough if I just get it notarized? Or do I have to get it notarized on a stamp paper?

Also could you pls send me a format of the expereince letter.

Thanks much.

SVAL
