Experience for LC

My friend told me that the expierence obtained from the same employer who filed the RIR Labor Certification does't count. Is that true? Can somebody verify it? So that means only experiences obtained before joining the current employer acceptable, right? Thank you for your input.

?

Thank you. But I don't understand this.
So if you never change job, the company can only file LC for you as a non-experience worker no matter how many years you have worked for this company?
But it is very hard to get a LC w/o experience requirements, so you have to change job? It just doesn't make sense for me.
Can you explain this?
Again, thank you very much.

huxf,

That is how INS / BCIS / USCIS /DHS thinks! Don't know how else to explain it.

P.S. Do not try to find logic in the way INS / BCIS / USCIS /DHS works - perhaps no one knows.

lc experience

I have worked for a client as a consultant for 2 years and then client, say B, gave me an offer for fulltime employment. During that period I was on payroll of my parent company, say A. Can I claim the first 2 years as the experience while filing Labor Certificate when I was working for a parent company (bodyshopper) and a consultant for the client ( my current employer). TIA
