Expediting of I-485

Guys, can one ask the INS to expedite their I-485 if they have a legitimate reasons with prove?

Yes, I think so.

I think expediting is possible. In the reply letter (regarding random FP) that I received from US dept of Justice, INS, it was said that:
"Unless an applicant with a pending Form I-485 had his or her application expedited, it is not likely that their application would be processed if filed on or about June 2002.... "

I don't think so

From history, there was no evidence 485 could be expidited.
Also, if one has a legitimate reason, others may present their ones for expiditing. INS surely wants to avoid this.

You can also complain about the delay in 485.

i485 expedite possible if...

... an offspring who is a derivative applicant is nearing the cut-off age of 21. in this case, the INS does consider an expedite request; these are called "age-out expedite" cases.

i hope i doesn't come to that for me... my oldest is 4 years old

Correct. I know INS will expedite for age-outs. I have never heard of a case expedited for another reason.

I believe if you show some evidence that you own a business or assets or property and if let them know that the business will be in jeopardy if your GC is not expedited , Then there might be a chance . But still this is my opinion. I don't know if it works.
