WHy ?????

Additional new important work with no addition to staff

Following work will be prioritized

1) All Green Card applications waiting for Citizen will be carried

Since election is coming, they need votes

2) All Illegal immigrants to legal immigration ( Illegals have more value than legal ones..... Wow)

3) Fingerprinting for Visitors to USA.

4) Additional other work which is time sensitive

5) and ......

SO I 485 gets the lowest priority this year

Well in 2003 they processed about 1-2 months worth of
485 applications. Assuming the same for this year, by the end of 2004 the average processing time for 485 should be around 3 years. By the end of GW's second term it should be around
7 years.

if illegal can get a temp job and priority...

we, as legal immigrant, should have the right to stop paying tax because our tax money is used to support those illegal people.

How pathetic the whole US law and political system!

part from CNN

last portion of the CNN article

"People who are here illegally -- they need to be deported," Tancredo told CNN. "People who hire them need to be fined. If they keep doing it they need to be sent to jail, It's against the law."

Why care about the intelligent white collar to-be immigrants when they never vote for republicans anyways?

They know for fact that knowledge workers are not really voting for republicans and cannot be convinced by this cheap candy. Rather create this sense of 'pro-immigration' to the hispanics and get their votes.

Another intersting issue is: Poosibly, the Hispanic Lobby is much stronger than the Indian Lobby. Or the Indian lobby only cares about H-1, Tax and outsourcing issues,,, not the legalization of the immigrants, amnesty etc.
