Existing B1 and effect of new H1

Hi

I have my B1 stamped for 10 yrs duration. I visited once USA on this Visa. Now another company has asked me to stamp H1B. I have following few queries
1. When I go for stamping my H1 for another company , What happens to my B1 ? Will it be cancelled by consulate or will it be still valid?

2. In case my B1 is not cancelled and also my H1 is stamped for another company , then if my present company asks me to travel to USA on my b1 FOR FEW DAYS , IS IT POSSIBLE TO TRAVEL even though my H1 for other company is stamped.

Regards

H1 after B1

Hi Vinay,
I am also facing the same situation,
Last month, i got B1 Visa ( 1o yrs multiple entry),
I didn't travel to USA (ie not used yet)

Now i have H1 stamping appointmnet next month from a different empoyer,
Is it OK??? should I go for H1 stamping or postponed for some time??
is there any buffer period to issue bwn 2 different US visas???
will they cancel my B1 or H1??

Plz respond me asap
Thanks

I think it depends on consulate. I had L1 and then got H1. When I got H1 stamped, the US consulate cancelled my L1. I think it probably does not make difference between B1 and L1, but again it may depend on consulate.
