Exception to leave later?

I´ve heard there are some exceptions (of up to 2 years) to having to leave for USA in half a year after "successful passing all necessary steps towards GC" in native country. Might the exception be my university studies???

of course this is a good reason. Its better to take an enrollments paper from the university to submit it to the USCIS.
 
I think you mean if you do CP, right? I have not heard of such exceptions at all, but KCC or the Embassy where you'll have your interview will be able to tell you for sure. USCIS is only for winners who are in the US already, it does not apply to you.
