Ex-Employer Threatening....

steet_dog

What I meant to say was that your ex employer can revoke your 140 but your GC is still going to come. Is it possible that can he get it revoked ? Thats a lawyer question and it depends on you intepret the statement written by gcgcgc.
You can take anybody to the law if you want to. So dont get worried over it.
Your GC should come through, come what may.
To be on the safer side once you get any communication (written) from your ex employee, fax them the reply and send it by certified mail too.
If you dont get any communication from your ex in the next one week I will still suggest you to write a letter to them explaining your position and claim that you are completely unaware of any claims from their side and you heard that they are trying to stop your GC process. Ask them to confirm the same. Done mention any money etc in this letter.
Make sure to cc your lawyer and hr on the letter.

Street_dog - you need the services of a Employment Lawyer, this case is not exactly within immigration law any more. Make sure your immigration process is safe and talk to the employment lawyer to sort this mess out.

Important : DO NOT SIGN ANYTHING before speaking to a employment lawyer

do not worry

Stay calm and get a lawyer, looks like yur current lawyer will not help you as he is bound to the guy who paid him. If you have paid him thru your personal checks then he too should be sued along with your former employer. I assum that you sent your time sheets for the period in question.
In any case do not sign anything and promise anything in writing. You may acknowledge an issue but don't not acknowledge liability. As somebody mentioned above a mention of going thru a lawyer should be enough to get things straightened out.
hope things turn for the better for you.

Cant stress enough but get the response on your RFE sent as soon possible don't wait too late for that.
