Hi all,
I'm soon going to apply for my AOS (got married to USC).Do we have to give proof of marriage apart from mrg certificate like photos, joint bills, insurance etc at the time of application itself or only at the time of interview?I was out of status so far and except for joint bank account, dont have any thing together right now. Thanks for any help.

We brought pictures, but the officer never even took a look nor touch it.

All the officer cares are documents, such as join credit cards, accounts, apartment lease...etc.
The evidence that officer said she most appreciate is our travel record. We traveled before we got marry to visit my family couple of times.

For my case, that is the most helpful thing.

good luck,;)

You are supposed to send proof of bona fide marriage with the I-130, but I didn't. My lawyer said don't worry about it and used an I-130 form that was dated before the new I-130 form, which was updated in January 07. The new form states that you are supposed to send proof. The one prior to January does not. I looked at the USCIS website and it states that it still accepts older versions of the I-130. I haven't gotten an RFE yet. But to be on the safe side, send some proof.

thanks....i have mrg certificate, joint bank statement, joint credit cards but nothing else could be in my name right now as i was here on B2 visa.

I did not send anything with our application, just the application forms and our application was approved and our checks were cashed. But then again, we have children so maybe that's why...I sent our marriage certificate plus our boys' birth certificates.
