3. Current working for a small biotech compamy doing organic synthesis
4. able to get strong recommendation letters from US researchers and professors, two professors are quite well knownin their areas.
5. My company is willing to support my GC application.

Please advice me. Thank you very much

OR probably best option

My profile is similar to yours, I have been working for about 6 years in Organic Chemistry - Chemical Development - I have 3 publications (PhD), one patent etc etc

Generally, lawyers are saying that I have a good chance at NIW or company sponsored OR, provided I obtain some very strong letters but a recent evaluation from the Murthy Law Offices recommended I wait until I have more publications for a more credible case or go with Labor Certification - fustratedly, I called them up and said It's unlikely I will get any more in the next couple of years. They said I need to demonstrate my work benefits the nation (obviously) - arguing that the outcome of a commercial drug helping to improve the quality of lives wasn't good enough and that I needed to show how I stood out. I work for a contract Pharmaceutical R&D company so I could argue the work I do is helping US companies develop medcines etc.

The company sponsored OR route may be less riskier than the NIW which was meant to be the easiest option but apparently is not any more - this is the conclusion I am coming to after alot of discusssion. My company is sponsoring Labor Certification. This is painfully slow, so, my strategy is to submit an NIW petition so that my wife (H-4) gets a work permit, this way she can work over the 2 year I-140 processing time (VSC) and pay off the NIW fees - if the petition fails, she at least worked for 2 years and the Company sponsored Labor Certification should have come through and my wife can get a work authorization permit once more. Anyone else used a similar strategy?

I would say that for OR you're one piece of evidence short. That's based on my personal experience. For NIW, it may be enough, if the lawyer is good.

Why not shop around ??

Many lawyers (Even good ones) do not charge for initial consulation. Why don't you pick few and talk to them. Then you can decide.

You may also try this site http://www.lawguru.com
You can post a question(For free) and lawyers will respond (Also free) with their answers and contact details. You can ask for lawyers in the region you want (New Jersey in your case). Also there is a site (Don't remember the URL exactly) - some thing like lawyers.com or something where they refer you to people. But from what I heard from one of my friend who is also an attorney (Not immigration), immigration law and that too based on employment is the easiest. Just look around for few good lawyers and decide.

Normally lawyers of Indian/ any asian origin are cheaper(in cost) than their american counter parts. Also you will get better service. I had two amercan lawyers before and it was almost impossible to talk to them directly after intial consultation (and after I paid the fees). Paralegals ran the show. But Indian/asian lawyers give more personalized service. (Disclaimer : This is from my personal experience only I am not prejudiced in any way)
