Hey everyone, hope everyone is doing well.
Today had my interview and they putted my case on AP.
The reason was Affidavit of Supporter. According to them my supporter didnt had enough founds to support me in us.
They gave me a letter informing about this and the lady there told me- i should find someone else asap and mail the letters to them. Everything was ok ,the interview lasted about 4-5 min. At the end they told me about this problem, im looking for a new supporter and i actually have alot of people there but i just made the mistake to chose the wrong one. My question is:

If i send them the evidence of Affidavit of Supporter within a week or so for how long do you think im going to be in ap. i mean everything was ok with all documents just affidavit of supporter need a new one.

Thanks.

Hey Doni19, How many people where in the interview or are you the principal winner? I hope you get it ASAP

Did they ask you for the affidacit or you gave it by your self in?
And did they ask you to provide an other one with more solid finances?

Doni, once you provide another affadavit of support that is good enough, they will issue pretty quickly. There was a similar situation for another 2014 selectee, and that resolved and got approved upon production of acceptable I134.

Are you under 26? (I think that's the age cutoff) You are required to register for what they call selective service if you get an immigrant visa and you are a male under a certain age (as I said I think 26) - that means you agree to be conscripted to the army if the need arises. In practice of course highly unlikely to happen, but it is a condition. If you are of the right age and you haven't I believe they can refuse to naturalize you.

In general it's not a good idea to sign forms you don't understand ... You should always ask for an explanation if you don't understand.

Hello,
2 month and a half I have the interview. I am from Albania too. I think I might have a similar issue. The thing is I gave the name of my relative. He lives in Philadelphia with his wife and he owns his house. He bought it a couple of years ago so that means he he doesn't have financial problems. The problem is that his daughter is married for 10 years with an Albanian guy with and had Work Visa. (I do not know which form is.). Now his Visa has expired and he is living in Albania now and he is applying to get Green Card through his wife because she is LPR in U.S. and they wrote on application for the same name we wrote.

About financial, my family's income we have good fortune I think, a house, a shop and some good money in bank and we do not have bank loans.

The other thing is that I have many more relatives who live in U.S.
Should I call KCC to give other names or it will be OK?

don't worry if you think is better to have someone else witch is better in your case just tell the new sponser to send you the documents and at the interview you can change it is not a problem i had the same problem i changed the sponser at the interview ( wish i never did) and is not a problem BUT IF YOU THINK THAT HE DOSENT HAVE ENOUGH INCOME TO SHOW THAT CAN SUPPORT YOU AND YOUR FAMILY IS BETTER TO STICK with the first one. Best of luck

You have a bigger problem than your sponsor... Are you going to go ahead and try interview still?

I meant about the fact that you've aged out. If you're not eligible to get a visa it doesn't matter who your sponsor is.

I don't care about me. I care about my family. Because Main Applicant is my father. I'm just a beneficiary. I know I won't go to U.S. but my family, my father, my mother and my younger brother (17yo) will go that's why I'm asking.

Ok. Do as poster above mentioned, just take the best affidavit of support to interview. Don't need to let KCC know.

If your sponsor has 3 other family members plus yourself, (making it 5 people), he needs to demonstrate an income level of about $27,000 according to the 2014 Poverty Guidelines.

Here's a link to the 2014 PG for anyone else who is interested in knowing if their sponsor meets the required income level for their individual case:

Hi guys
I am Albanian as well, going to do the interview in May
Im sure my sposnsor has enought incomes since he sponsored a dv2013 winer last year.
But I was wondering if this fact affect on my case anyway? Does precedent suported poeople count or the embassy doesnt record this stuff?

Well, the I134 form asks how many other people the person supports, who they have previously filed affidavits of support for, and who they have previously petitioned for visas for. So assuming your sponsor fills it in truthfully, they will know immediately.

As long as your sponsor can prove that he has enough income to cover he and his family, the person/family he sponsored in 2013 in addition to you and your family all at the same time, and there's no record that the person/family he sponsored in 2013 has since applied for public aide which they're not qualified for, then that shouldn't be a problem.

Also if your sponsor indicated how long he was sponsoring this 2013 selectee for and the duration of the sponsorship has since passed, then your sponsor only needs to prove he has enough income for himself/family and yourself/family. He just has to state on the form the fact that he's sponsored someone else before.
