Any one who can do a good analysis?

I recall about the year of 2002. Many times read over threads that once we past through 2002, we should be fine.

How many Indian Eb-2 applicants would there be, waiting for approval and are current?

Also, how many unused EB-1 visas that might be there, that will be given to EB2 or do they go to EB3?

Basically, I am trying to "predict" May 2008 bulletin for EB-2 India availability.

My guess would be approx 5-6K EB2 India 485 that will be current on April. The count includes dependents as well. I am guessing this number from trackitt , assuming 5% reported in Trackit.

So for May, it will either back track to Jan 2003. From July it may move to Jan 2004.
 
Potential demand V/s actual demand

As Ron Gotcher put it , the 'Potential demand V/s actual demand' . If the USCIS is not able to process required number of applications, the DOS again advances the cut-off dates inorder to enable overseas posts demand more visa numbers. Consular processing has more resources.
