Escalation of confusion with call to Finger printing

Some background:

i) Filed for 485 in November (for both my wife and I)
ii) Havent applied for EAD or AP for both
iii) She is currently in India and expected return is
    3rd week of April (has to complete her exams)
iv) H-1B to expire in 02-April-2002
v) Applied for H-1B extension in November.

Current State:
--------------
i) INS calls for finger printing in Jan 2002 (for both)

Confusion and Need direction:
----------------------------
I) Should I file for myself and reschedule for my wife?
     Will there be any complications with this option?
II) Should I reschedule for both? Will not know when
     they will reschedule. If its less than 3 months, will
     have to reschedule, otherwise i will be losing 3
     months of processing time.
III) Can you finish the fingerprinting and go back? Any
     implications to this scenario

Which STATE ?

Can you post your MD, RD, ND and which state you are in
Where are you getting fingerprinted and wwhat is the
appointment date. I think you should both get fingerprinted
together.

Dont know what MD is?
RD = 11/29/01
ND = 12/4/01
Fee receipt for the petition is 12/13/01

I am in Texas. Fingerprinting is in Fortworth dated 1/31/02

Check the fp

notice . If you miss the fp scheduled date then you can go
any other time before 2 or 3 months from that date .
When i got my FP Notice , i was scheduled for jan 15 and if i happen
to miss it then i can do it anytime before april 02 , 2002 or
approximately that date .

Its different on mine

I can either attend on 1/31/2001 or must reschedule. There is no
mention as you in your case. Which is surprising, bcos they are
different.
