I genuinely don’t understand what is going on in the LA courts. According to this forum, there was someone who had their court on 2/21 in LA and that person was approved on 10/2024. Yet, someone from 8/22 is still waiting. How is that possible? More than one year has passed. I am worried.

I meant to say 8/21, not 8/22

This is crazy! Have you contacted the court?

Yes, I did last year but the clerk told me there is nothing can do but wait, (he is kind of rude though so I'm not sure about calling again)

I just finish sobbing for an hour so sorry for the delay, but just got a call from my lawyer that I was granted… checked the site. Lo and behold, I am!

I never knew what this could feel like and it’s inexplicable, but it’s the best feeling in the world. Thank you so much to everyone in this forum, whether you know it or feel the same, being part of this community gave me such relief in times of sadness or cynicism. I’ll obviously keep track of when I get the actually letter, card production etc. Just figured this would provide some relief, as others’ grants in the past had given to me.

When I went to court and the judge approved it, he told me the wait would be 6 months, and now in April it's been 4 years.
