Entry to USA using I-551 passport stamp

I got my passport stamp (I -551) 2 weeks back.
Currently its taking about 2-3 months to receive the physical green card.
I am planning to make a trip to India .
Just wanted to know what doc to carry while coming back to USA.
Could anyone share their experiences while coming back using the I-551 stamp.

Would appreciate your advice.

no personal experience, but my cousin went to india and came back on I-551 stamp. Seems like anyone with only I-551 stamp is subjected to secondary inspection where they verfiy if your Alien number is valid or not and if alien number is for the person with passport. No complicated stuff though. Just carry copy of your I-485 approval. HTH.
