Entry pic for DV 2011. Is this okay?

What I am concerned about is the background...is it too dark?
And the slight shadow on the right side.

I know it's not a "good" pic, but as long as it qualifies for the lottery, it's fine by me.
 
I don't think that precludes me from asking questions on this forum. I am merely trying to help someone out.

Opinions about the photo are welcome.

Please...time is running out.

The background is fine. There is a slight shadow from the left ear to the background, along with the slight shadow from the right side to the background. If i were you, I would definitely try to retake the picture. It is better not to lose a chance of winning based on a small technical problem. Do it right the first time. All the best.:)

If you already submitted it then don't worry about it anymore, as it is not in your hands. Just pray it is ok. Personally i did not notice the slight shadows till i paid close attention. There is a good chance it would be fine. The examples they show on the website of improper entries have shadows that affect the picture, like a big shadow on the background or on the face, causing the face to be not visible from one side. Therefore, that pic is not that bad. You did what you could, now just pray:)
