Entering USA as PR after less than 6 months stay abroad through Canada

I am a guy who had to visit my parent country (=country of birth/citizenship) due to family (father and mother) health problems and since I have the same blood group as my father suffering from a rare form of blood cancer. I also have found a job in my parent country. During my last 3 visits to USA as PR after staying in my parent country for durations for 1month, 3 months and 5 months, I have noticed that every time I stand in the immigration queue in a US airport I had been asked simple questions like: How long had been outside USA? What was the purpose of this visit? What is your profession in USA? How long do you plan to stay in USA this time? And every time they get my fingerprints which is usual.

I still don't like all this or being treated with suspicion. I am a simple guy with my immediate family in USA (wife and kid), I own a real estate property here, work as consultant freelancer where I get paid in US Dollars n USA (along with a yearly 1099 form), file my taxes sincerely. I still don't like these questions.

I had noticed in this forum that there are one or two guys/girls who visit Canada first instead of directly returning to US after their trip abroad and then enter USA either same day or next day by road with almost no hassles. Since there is no/ very less interrogation for people entering USA by car/ through road, then those coming entering through an airport immigration counter. Is that always hassle free or they still interrogate people at US-Canada Border? I was under impression that while entering USA by car/road they sometimes don't even ask for your passport or PR Card, in my case a Green Card should be enough and they don't stamp anything etc so less record.

I am also asking this with a perspective that, in future when I apply for citizenship will this also help me in "bunking" the trips aboard as they only stamp the passport at airport when you enter in US through airport. Thanks for your replies in advance

Fingerprinting of PRs is usual now, as I understand.

I still don't like all this or being treated with even minute suspicion.

Then do not cross an international border.

They certainly ask questions.

I was under impression that while entering USA by car/road they just ask for your passport or in my case a Green Card should be enough and they don't stamp anything etc so less record.

They still swipe your GC.

What makes you think that USCIS is stupid enough to use passport stamps for trips abroad?

Even if they don't stamp your passport they can have a record of your entry or exit. Once they swipe your passport or green card or take your fingerprints, it is probably recorded in the system. When you apply for citizenship, don't try to hide those trips. Given that you are pushing the limits of continuous residence, you will get in trouble if they see trips in their system that you didn't mention.

I like for them to scrutinize people even more at POE, as it is for our own safety and well being. These are the men and women who in my opinion have the toughest job of picking out the bad apples from good ones in a short inspection period.
My advice get used to it, and don't even think that your trips can be masked nowadays by just coming through Canada, it actually will raise more red flags as to why you are doing it if you have nothing to hide.
