Entering US on AP while laid off from sponsoring company. My I485 applied on early July, but laid off around 150 days from RD. I have an EAD, AP and 485 pending case of early July RD. I have to go back home on medical emergency. Currently, I am working a contract job. I have H1-B visa till 2003 from my previous employer which is I guess no longer valid.
 My questions are:

1) Will I be able to enter US on AP of previous employer?
2) Since, I am laid off from Sponsoring company, what document Should I show them H1-B(valid 2003) or AP(valid sep 2002) on Port of entry?
3) Should I tell them that don’t use my H1-B (expires in 2003), but to use AP?
4) What if my 485 gets approve while I am out of US, what document will I use to enter US?

Your response will greatly appreciated.

1) AP and EAD is your doucment not employer\'s. You should be able to use them.
2)AP is your best bet. Make sure that your previous employer has not sent any withdrawal notices (does not mean you will not be allowed, but it will prepare you if INS agent asks questions). Have your friend here to verify your 485 status the day before you enter US.
3) Same question? Same Answer!
4) you will be admitted under "deferred Inspection" and you have to get the approval stamped in the PP
