entering US on AP while H1 is getting renewed

Hi
I have EAD and will be filing application of H1 renewal shortly
If I go out of US and reenter on AP - will that constitute abandonment of my H1 renewal

I was in the same situation last year. I re-entered US using AP but continued to work on H1-B renewal notice

1. If you have used your EAD then you can enter the country only on AP.
2. If you haven't used your EAD, and are working on H1, you can enter on AP and continue to work on H1 even though the H1 is being renewed.
