Entering US after a long gap

Hi,

I have a question for my friend who is in India now. He was laid off in december of 2001. He applied for his transfer in february 2002 and recently got his H1B transfer approval through a friend's consulting company in the hope that he could find a project.

However, he did not get any project and hence has returned to india.

Can he enter US on a future date say after 6 - 8 months since his H1B is approved? What sort of documents will he need to provide when he plans to re-enter.

What about the H1B visa stamp. Can he get his stamping done in India with the approval notice? What does he need to provide?

Thanks for your help

check ttsvisas.com

for list of documents for a new stamp. he needs documents from his current employer.

He might be asked to provide an employment letter or recent paystub at the POE. Depends on the crowd and mood of the officer.

how can he have a paystub??

Thanks for the reply.

My friend was in india so will he have to show paystubs still??
The company wants him back and hence the need for him to come back to US and since they already have his h1b approved and a project they now want him back.

Does he still need to show paystubs? how can he show paystubs when he was not in US for 6 - 8 months??

Thanks in advance
