entering U.S close to visa expiry

I would like to enter into the U.S when only 20 days is left in my H1 visa. After entering I would be applying for recapturing and then extending my H1 visa. Will I have any problems at POE?

No problem

I have entered with only 10days on my passport. The visa officer asked me do you know that your visa is going to expire within 10days?. I said yes and my company is going to apply as soon as i am in US. that's it.

20 Days no problem. If it is less than week, you are taking high risk in your case, problem is not INS your air line carrier.
