Entering back US

My mother came from India and had 6 months stamped on I-94. we applied for an extension and was approved for another 6 months. We had done this all 3 times that she was here on visiting. This time after getting 6 months extension, we attempted to get another extension on a long term because of some family matters such as there is no one to take care of her back in India and all that. Her I-94 date was expiring on Sept 1. Since we did not get a reply from USCIS, we decided to sent her back before the expiry of the I-94 even though we knew that she can stay here until she gets a reply.

Now my issue is whether our pending application would create any problem for her to return back to US? We were thinking to wait until we hear something from USCIS before bringing her back. What is the best thing to do?

Please give your advise.

Finny,
Your mother has "visited" the US 4 times and 3 of those stays were a year each? Your mother is a very lucky woman for not having attracted the attention of ICE/USCIS.
With regards to her recent visit, as long as she surrendered her I-94 upon departure, there should be a record of her leaving on the said date. She should also carry her boarding pass from her last flight out to cover all bases.

If your mother enters too soon, she will attract the attention of CBP officer at the POE. You need to understand that B-2 is for visiting. By defn, a visitor is a person who comes and leaves, NOT start living in the U.S. Your mom is a prime example of why people are having a hard time getting visitor visas for short duration.

whats So funny guys!!

While so many people say their extension got rejected, few said that they were able get their extension approved. Why? In reality, most of the applicants intention was to stay here few more months, majority of them don't want to travel frequently because of long flights and expensive trips. So I asked to share the "reasons given" in the extension request application from whoever got their extension successfully!

So that you can "copy" that reason and get yours (or your relative's) extension approved too?
