Encouraging I-140 Progress

I may yet live to eat my words, but there does appear to be a rapid uptick in the rate of I-140 approvals, at least judging from this board.

It has been long overdue, especially in the EB1 and EB2 category, where processing has been at a standstill for several months.

Let's see where they go with this...

Is it encouraging?

For NIW the processing time advanced only 10 days in the past 6 -8 months. Those guys are processing the cases in May 2002. What do you mean encouraging? It is pain for so long waiting.

I know that there has been absolutely no progress on NIW for months, but at least in the last 4-5 days we are beginning to see other EB2 approvals.

Obviously, at some point, VSC will have to start looking at NIW cases...after all, at the current rate, NIW approval would take around 40 years. So maybe what we are seeing is the beginning of them turning their attention to these cases.

It should be clear within a few weeks whether this is the clearing of the backlog or not.
