According to Form B One of the requrements for supporting docunets:

The documents enclosed with the application should be self attested.

I am attaching a copy of US passport and Indian Passport for proof.

What should I do here? Just sign all docs and send along with the application?

On the copy, write
"This is a true copy of the original"
Then your signature.

Yes, send the copies with the application.

In my haste to send the OCI app off for my family (self, wife and 2 kids) I have missed self attesting the copies of attached documents. Will the consulate return the application to me??

Ozone,
If they have any issues, the consulate will usually call/email you about one month after the mailing date(when they probably open the mail to ACK the appl).
If they don't contact you and the appl gets ACK then it means they accepted your docs.

thanks for the reply, so I potentially wasted a month +, here's hoping
they would accept the doc's as is
