Employment with US Govt affiliated Organisation and Impact on Mothers Visitor Visa

I would wish to know if my working for an organisation affilaited to US goverment is a benefit/disadvantage for my sponsoring my mother for her tourist visa?

If a benefit what additional letters from my employer should I get.

Honestly I think the consulate only cares about the ties that the visitor has to his native country.
i.e., would he/she return back after their trip to the US ?

As long as you have a job with a stable income (sufficient to support the visitors as per the affidavit given), they should be OK.
Don't think they give too much weight to the employer.

I would think this does not matter one way or the other.
