Employment Verification Letter question

My company's HR just told me that they'd only give me a photocopy of the EVL (strrrrange). It seems this person contacted their company's attorney (I am not going thru the company's attorney) and found out it's okay to send photocopy of EVL. I am not sure if I should send the copy or insist for the original.

Can someone offer any comments or suggestions. Thanks a lot in advance

if you or your lawyer are sending job offer letter to invoke AC21 then it should not be Copy it should be original on company letterhead and signatures of employer

Help Please

My HR consulted their law firm ("with a very very bad reputation") and concluded that photocopy of EVL is just enough. The HR person attached a business card with "name & contact info" and tells me that if USCIS has questions they can contact HR! (I said to my self.. 'grreat')

Anyways, should I fight this fight? If so, I need some kinda proof to say that I NEED THE ORIGINAL. Since AC-21 is interpreted in many ways and most of the websites claim it's not mandatory to send this document unless there is an RFE!

I don't want to wait till RFE. God forbid if that happens I can't reply with a photocopy for that (coz I am representing this case on my own). So, what do you experienced ppl out there think I should do?

PS: Is there any official site/document that states the EVL original must be sent if we choose notify USCIS about the AC-21. It will be of great help!

Thanks a lottt in advance

Thanks UnitedNations

I am relieved! I guess IF I face the request for evidence or proof of employment situation then there will be written request from USCIS asking for the original rite? If that's the case I can that as a proof to require orignals.

Thanks again!
