I have been laid off on Aug 3rd and an RFE was issued on Aug 3rd. Here is the
RFE:
"Submit a currently dated letter from your intended permanent employer describing your present job duties and position in the organization, your proffered position (if different from your current one), the date you began your employment and the offered salary or wage. This letter should be in the original and signed by an executive or officer of the organization who is authorized to make or confirm an offer of permanent employment. The letter should indicate whether the terms and conditions of your employment based visa petition (or labor petition) continue to exist. "
For responding to this RFE, my lawyer has drafter this letter:
"
Dear Sir or Madam:
I am writing this letter to confirm that XXX is employed full time by our company as a Software Engineer. Our company provides consulting services to a variety of businesses in the area of client-server and software development [you might want to make this more specific]. As a Software Engineer with our organization, XXX will work with clients in developing software solutions to specific client needs and [you can add more here].
XXX began her employment with us on _________, and she earns $________per hour.
"
My questions are:
1) Can hourly wages be mentioned intead of gross annual salary in the EVL?
2) Would mentioning that my employer is a consulting firm jeopardize my 485 in any way?
