Employment history for citizenship application

Dear all
I need an urgent help to fill out the form N 400 where I got lost at employment history part.I am male living in USA for a long time.I had gone through taking care of my child about a year during last five years and stayed out of work.So I am confused about what I need to list in employment history for that period of taking care of my own child.Should I mention it as unemployed or taking care of child?Any advice will be highly appreciated.Thank you.

unemployed will do. if they ask you during the interview why you were not working for the last 5 years then tell them the reason (taking care of child). Most people are out of work with this economy so do not feel bad about it.
