Hi, I have my GC through Employment and now I am planning to marry a US Citizen, is there any reason or benefit of applying for GC via marriage? or will I be able to apply for Citizenship in 3 years post my marriage but using my Employment based GC (which I received prior to marriage).I

Should I continue on my current GC post my marriage? or
Should I apply for GC post marriage and if so, will I lose my earlier GC during the application process and I will get EAD and new GC again?

Your help is much appreciated
Thanks

If you already have a green card, you can’t apply for another one.
As long as you meet the requirements for 3 year rule based on marriage to a USC you can naturalize through that regardless of how you originally obtained your green card.
