After one files Form I-485 and for EAD, one's TN/TD's are effectively killed and fade away.

What status do TD children have after this happens to remain legally in the country ?? Employment authorization ??

The filing doesn't automatically terminate the status; it just cannot be renewed.

Employment authorization is NOT a status, nor is it required. Once their TDs expire, their pending I-485s keep them in status.
 
make sure your TD dependents are listed in your I-485 and they file their own I-485s, otherwise they will not be in "pending status" after you file the I-485.

Listing them in his I-485 will do absolutely nothing to keep them in status. Each dependent must file their own I-485.
