employers dont understand EAD

I have EAD. But If I tell employers I have EAD, they say they accept only green card for employment? They dont understand that EAD can also be used like green card. Anyone in the same situation? or Should I explain them differently?

EAD card color turns into Green after 6 or 12 months ?? have a sence of humor before talking so that they don\'t misunderstand

They may understand if you say that with supporting documents from the INS or using a attoney

The best way to tell them is that you can work in the US for them without a VISA and that the Government has given the authority by means of EAD card and that you can receive payments as a regular employee. Tell them that you just need to fill out I-9 form and that\'s all they need. The form itself rids the employer of any wrongdoing in terms of illegal employment. If they still don\'t understand ask them to speak to any attorney and if they refuse, then it is worth the time and effort. For your own good, find another employer who\'s aware of the immigration basics.
