My employee hired me in 2000 Jan on OPT and screwed up on my H1B and I had to go out of the country and reenter after 2 months in October 2000.
In Jan 2001 the employer promised to start the Green card application . Repeated reminders gave no result . Finally they started working on my petition in April 2002 .
Repeated question to the HR whether they have any updates for me on the status of my PRA application gave only one result " We have not heard from the attorney yet "
Even Last month I was told the same thing and they laid me off my job on Friday 27th September and October 11th is the last day in payroll .
They want me to sign a release form to get my sevarance package .
I am moving over to F1 status to continue with my MBA education that I was doing pt .
My question is CAN THE COMPANY BE SUED FOR BREACH OF TRUST AND FOR GIVING ME FALSE HOPE ?
WHEN THE CMPANY SENT ME TO MEXICO THEY DID NOT PAY FOR MY FOOD ETC WHILE OTHERS WHO GO TO MEXICO GET ROYAL TREATMENT .
