Hi,
A Company is processing my GC for future Employment. My RD for I485 is 05/20/02. I got my EAD on June 06/10/02. Due to recession my present employer was not able to place me. Using my EAD i got a permanent offer and joined the new company. Since my GC processing is for future employment i can join anyone in the meantime. Now i am not in H1 status. I still haven't completed my 180 days. Should I have to inform INS about my new job? Please help me !

Here is my Two cents..

I am not a lawyer but from what I understand from this site and what people generally are doing.

Take up a new job . No problem to work for any employer on a Valid EAD.

Wait until your case gets processed or you get a RFE.

If no RFE, be happy, Thank your stars.
Else, reply to the RFE, sending a letter from the new employer with the job duties and responsibilities, salary and job title under the AC21 regulation.

Gunachris my case is similar to yours.
Mine is concurrent filing. GC by another company as a future employee. I'll be laid off in 3 months. The company that sponsors me GC may not be able to give me a job.
Hopefully I'll get my EAD within 3 months (TSC). So when I get the EAD can I work for a different employee. I hear in this forum that portability is not applicable to concurrent filing. So Iam really very very worried. Will you or some else could help me.
