Emergency AP

Is there such thing as emergency AP? If yes, how does one go about getting it? What reasons does INS look for to grant one?

Yes there is Pl download the form from INS I-131
and I guess you can go to local INS office to get 1. Pl conifrm/get more info from the site

I applied one at the end of 2003 at New Orleans Local office. My dad was scheduled for a surgery at the begining of 2004 and my regular AP had been pending for more than 5 months back then. I got a fax statement from a doctor and been granted an AP for multi-entry the next week.

I have at least 3 more friends applied for emergency AP in the year of 2003 and all been granted. I also have one friend applied for an emergency AP after 5 months of wating for a regulary AP using the reason for a family reunion and got rejected.
