Emergency AP question.

Hello,

I’ve got a question regarding Emergency Advance Parole. My I -140, I -485 is pending from Sept 22, 2003. I’ve applied for my second EAD and AP 3 ½ months back. EAD came on time, but AP has not yet come. I need to visit India right now, and I’m planning on getting Emergency AP from my local office.

I’ve a couple of questions regarding this-

1) Do I need to show actual Ticket/e-ticket for getting the Emergency AP, or will the Ticket itinerary that I’ve placed a booking will do? I’m asking this as I do not want to purchase a ticket if the Emergency AP gets rejected.

2) How long will it take for the Emergency AP to get processed? Do we get it in hand the very same day, or do we get called back the next day? Or does it about 7-10 days for it to get processed and they send it via mail?

Thanks for all the help. My Lawyer has no idea regarding Emergency AP and just keeps making guesses, so I appreciate any input from your side. Thanks once again,

I am in the same boat. Only difference is I already bought the tickets. I have been noticing the LUD on AP2 for last 3 days continiously but no update in status. Its a one page application and more over a renewal, don't know why the heck they taking so much time to process it. They approved my EAD2 (yesterday) though.

Hello ABT,

Yes, even my LUD is changing from the past 2 days for my 2nd AP. Not sure why that is happening, without any change in status. I've already waited 13 months for I-140 to get approved. It's so frustrating checking for USCIS emails everyday, to see if by chance today gets approved.

Now on top of everything, AP is also getting delayed. Both my EAD and AP were applied at the same time. EAD came in 2 months time, but AP is not to be seen. Sometimes, if feels like all my cases are jinxed somehow.

I totally know how you feel. I am in the same way. I check my status at least 10 times/day. I am SO frustrated with the USCIS. They are very inefficient. I have been waiting for over 13 months too. I don't know when the miracle happens...

I totally feel the same way as you do. I have been waiting 140 approval for almost a year and keep checking the online status every day. It's so frustrated!!! The only advantage I got is my H-1 visa is still valid til 2006. Please don't feel too bad cause people who worked over ins will not feel a thing for us. Maybe you will get it approved within this month. Good luck!!!
