emergency AP in Chicago

Any body applied emergency AP in Chicago. pls post your experience. What papers I have to take with me. I have already applied AP about week ago but I might have to go in emergency to overseas in that case I will go to local chicago office. Pls let me know the whole process. I hope i donot have to go in emergency : THX

My friend got an emergency AP (not from Chicago) in less than
48 hours. It required the doctor in India sending a fax directly to
local BCIS office mentioning the death of a close close realtive.
 
We are also on the same boat.Our lawyer mentioned to apply for AP and then as soon as we get the reciept from INS,we could take that along with the valid document to local office to get the emergency AP. We are still waiting for the receipt notice from INS.will keep you posted
