Emergency AP-advice

Dear Friends,

My wife applied emergency advanced parole because her father got cancer. the NSC got the application on OCt29 (based on delivery date). We also enclosed a postage page express mail envolope. But up to now, almost ten days passed, there are no any information. What should we do?

I am sorry to hear about your father in law.
My mother passed away last Janury, we are wasting our lifes waiting for the GC...is it really worth it? for what and for whome?
 
Is your spouse working. If not. let her go to India / which ever country you belong to!!! When you get the AP send her through FedEx.
 
I don't think its a wise advice Brij523. U have to be in US if you applied for AP while you were here.

My wife got an receipt notice yesterday and we checked one-line message, it is said that an RFE was issued in Oct 05. We are waiting for that.

Thats why ur Emergency AP took so long. In case of no RFE it takes a week thats what i read/heard.
 
Similar experience

I was almost in a similar situation couple of months ago but I applied for AP 2 months prior to the emergency situation arised. I approached the local Senator's office and they immediately contacted their liason in the NSC, where the application was filed, and I received the approval in 3 days. I gave them the medical certificate I received from India (fax copy). I would suggest you to approach your local Senator's office.

We received the RFE today, they asked for passport photo. They do not accept immigration photo any more.
