Email from USCIS what is this ?

Folks i have received this email from USCIS could anyone please let me know what this could be. I am waiting on my 485 application , it was applied july 04.

I did a change of address also in last 15 days i hope this is not related to that

Well i really hope that my case is approved, but last week i did a change of address i hope this is not related to that ? any toughts you guys? did anyone receive some thing like this ?

* Country of Chargeability ? (India/China/Phill/Mex/World ?)
* PRIORITY DATE ? (the big question for all of us here !! - date you started labor - found on your 140 APPROVAL notice)

What is your priority date? Please post the complete details ..

I got the exact same message. I did also have a address change hence I think it might be related to that.

but let me know if you find something different.

I received similar emails while my case was pending, related to address changes.

Most of the times above email means nothing!! so just ignore it.

I hope I am wrong, however just dont want you guys to get excited too much over this.

Question for GC Guy??

Did you get any document based on address changes??

Since I talked to my lawyer and couple of my friends they claim a message like what we are seeing while not untirely impossible is highly unlikely to have been generated due to address changes.

So what would be interesting to know from people is that is there any document that you get based on any address changes??

I saw the same message on my application last week (my spouse did not have this change on her application).
We moved to a new address 3 months ago and I received my biometric appt (from my lawyer) a couple of weeks ago. I havent received my biometrics copy yet. I am waiting to see if my lawyer has any insight on this. But recently, I have seen some other forum members that saw this update. I am not celebrating just based on this message.

I did receive this message last July (see my signature) and it was indeed because of address change. I received a letter from CSC via snail mail that they are updating my pending I-485 address due to address change.... to date my status is still the same message.

My case was in EB3(India). PD was 1202-04 .I got my GC 6 months ago.

Wow -- you are definitely very lucky !!

Entire GC journey took only 5 months for you ?! Incredible :D (12-02-2004 to about sometime in April 05)
Good that you escaped out of the retro mess that we're all stuck in !!
 
My case details,

* Case category ? (EB2
* Country of Chargeability ? India
* PRIORITY DATE ? Dec 2001
* Labor approved May 04
* 140 approved Feb 05

I am waiting on few things,
1) Change of address
2) I did not receive Bio Metrics stuff
3) Name check
4) I485 pending.

Looks like 485 approval would be the best thing, but looks like as you guys have mentioned it could be as simple as a reflection for
my change of address, (did you guys see a LUD change for this?)
or
may be i am getting my biometrics stuff (did you guys see a LUD change for this?)
 
No LUD for Biometrics notice

I did not get any LUDs for the biometric notice. In fact I called USCIS (800 number) a couple of weeks ago and even that didnt change my status. So I am not sure how relaible the LUDs are (atleast in my case).

Have you received anything yet? I just got exactly same email from USCIS. I did NOT file any of change of address. The only thing I got recently was the Code3 fingerprint notice 2 weeks ago..

Don't know what is going to happen...
 
different experiences

Nobody know how CIS works.
here is my case:

Change of address -->May 1, 2005, LUD for Primary(P) and Spouse(S), P's status changed to "we responsed your inquiry.....", S's status kept same. No email for P nor S.

Approval email-->9.28.05, LUD changed for P and S, Email received for P and S, Status changed to " This case has been approved. On September 28, 2005, an approval notice was mailed. If 14 days have passed and you have not received this notice, you may wish to verify or update your address."

Almost 14 days now, no mail, called USCIS, they let me wait 30 days.

Oct 11, 2005, LUD for S, Email for S, status changed to" he document we made based on the approval or registration of this case was mailed directly to the person to whom issued." Primary received nothing, nor LUD changed.

Still don't know when I can receive real approval notice. USCIS alrways do crazy things.
